When Chris Rock saw him perform in a standup comedy in 2016, Nimesh Patel's life would have never been the same. He went on to write for Rock's Oscar hosting stint that year, which led him to write for other prominent shows and events, including Saturday Night Live, The White House Correspondent's Dinner, & Awkwafina, and "Full Frontal with Samantha Bee."
After devoting himself to the comedy industry for so long, Patel finally developed his gift for comic writing. He has been performing stand-up comedy for more than ten years, during which time he has explored many approaches. Upon finishing college in 2009, he began working. In Nimesh's account, it wasn't a profession he first sought for, but rather a means of compensating for his lack of work.
