Recognized as one of the fastest-growing comics of this era, he boasts over 50 film and TV credits — proving that he’s no stranger to TV screens and live stages. 

THE MAN’S CAREER

Born to Iranian parents, Max Amini grew up across Tucson, Arizona, Washington, D.C., and then moved to California. In 2002, he kicked off his stand-up comedy career with nights at the LA Improv, developing a tour named “Exotic Imports.” He has since performed around the globe with shows across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. By 2006, the renowned Laugh Factory Hollywood named him a resident comic, recognizing his amusing brilliance. In 2009, he was a finalist for NBC’s Diversity Showcase, amassing tons of new audiences hooked on his sharp wit. 

His “Exotic Imports” show featured second-generation Americans of diverse cultures, shining light on their stories. The tour was a hit, selling out venues across the country. Since then, he’s constantly served headlining shows jam-packed with hysterical laughs. Stirring the crowd with his relatable tales, impersonations, and observational comedy, he sure is the real deal. 

“I tend to comfortably relate to a lot of nationalities, and I play a lot of ethnic shows,” he shared with NEON. “In the end, we’re all human. We share so much in common, there’s plenty of topics to talk about.”

Known to talk about universal topics, every audience in every city he visits can relate and burst into laughs. “A lot of material I talk about right now, it’s mostly about relationships or my experiences around the world. I talk about French people, I talk about Germans. It’s very universal,” he added.
