Robert Plant comes to the Majestic Theatre in Dallas on Wednesday, March 18th. The performance is part of the Spring Fever tour that he and his band, "Saving Grace," are going on this year. This new project from the former Led Zeppelin frontman includes the soulful voice of Suzi Dian, and the setlist promises to feature a trip through different musical genres and styles that will make this a night to remember.
Life after Led Zeppelin has been interesting for Robert Plant. Over the years, he's done a ton of solo efforts as well as plenty of collaborations, perhaps most notably with the great Alison Krauss. This new project with Saving Grace actually adds gospel music to the list of numerous genres that Plant has delved into after his Led Zeppelin days. That doesn't mean that this is your typical Americana performance. It's not every day that one of these bands is led by a music legend! Since that's the case for this one, you're gonna want to hit the "Buy Tickets" link to experience this concert live.
It's fair to question what you can expect out of this performance! This is the first effort by Robert Plant and his latest project, "Saving Grace." They've got a full self-titled album, though, already out that you can listen to, to get a sense of what this upcoming performance is going to look like. "Everybody's Song", "It's A Beautiful Day Today," and "Chevrolet" are the three tracks that the band wants to put extra focus on. That's why those are the ones that got a music video produced to accompany the song. Then there's "Gospel Plough" from that release. A song that's already turning a few heads and shows hints of this gospel music side that Robert Plant is dipping his foot into.
Let's get to the elephant in the room here. Whenever Robert Plant presents a new project or announces a new live tour, a lot of the long-time fans are hoping and praying that he'll wind the clock back and remind the current generation why he was picked the "Best Lead Singer of All Time" by Rolling Stone Magazine. Yet, the relationship between Robert Plant and his Led Zeppelin days is complicated at best! Now, that doesn't mean you won't hear any references and/or tracks by the iconic band at this performance. Maybe the best thing that you can do is keep those expectations low, and hope you're surprised if we do get a live, acoustic rendition of "Stairway to Heaven."
Don't overcomplicate things. Make sure to find a spot in the middle of the theater, maybe a few rows away from the stage. That's where you'll have that wide view of the show and might even be able to hear those acoustic songs much better. If you're too close to the stage, the sound might not be as crisp, just extra loud! Anyway, that's just an idea that you'll want to circle your mind as you click the "Buy Tickets" link.
The music legend, Robert Plant, is coming to Dallas, and tickets are starting at only $119. This is a small venue, so it can fill up quickly. Hit the "Buy Tickets" link now so you're not left on the outside looking in.
