Pete Davidson is among the biggest names in comedy today. This is due to his comedic prowess. He is known for his wit, unabashed and sometimes deadpan humor, and magnetic charm. An SNL regular, he has become a favorite to witness by viewers. His comedy is as effective when he is on stage. He knows how to tickle your funny bone.
Peter Michael Davidson grew up in Staten Island, New York. He had a pleasant childhood raised by a mother who was a school nurse and a father who worked as a firefighter. In 2001, the 9/11 tragedy took away from them his father. Pete, who was seven then, was heavily affected by the events and would go on to suffer from it in the years that followed. However, this motivated him to learn comedy. After graduating from high school, he decided to pursue it full-time.
His career began to take off in 2013 when he appeared on multiple TV shows. He first appeared on the MTV comedy show Failosophy and then on PDA and Moms. During that same year, he debuted his comedy special on an episode of Gotham Comedy Live. Before the year ended, he appeared on Nick Cannon Presents: Wild 'N Out and Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
In 2014, his stint on Saturday Night Live started. He achieved this at only 20 and was the youngest in the history of the show to debut. His first episode made him an instant favorite. He was positively praised for his funny role, fooling alongside big names in Hollywood like Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Norman Reedus. This would solidify his career as part of the regular cast of the comedy show. In the nine years of his appearance on SNL, he has played multiple hilarious characters, one of whom is Chad, known for his deadpan characterization and was his most popular.
As an actor, the star comedian has been featured in multiple movies. He currently is on the Peacock series Bupkis.
Pete is on a standup tour this year and will be casting jokes at the Majestic Theatre Dallas on December 1. See you there!
