Majestic Theatre
Mo Amer has become one of the most intriguing voices in comedy. Out of the comedians who are also on tour, he's one of the very few who speak about issues within the Muslim community. He can also speak firsthand about immigration issues. Don't think that his set is a lecture instead of a comedy show, though!
It's actually incredible how he's able to take really serious topics and give them that comedic twist. What's also impressive is the fact that he's got a Netflix series, and he's on tour doing different sets apart from this Oso Palestino tour that's coming to the Majestic Theatre in Dallas on June 20th. Mo Amer has proven to not only be a comedian with an obvious staying power, he's also got a ton of jokes and material to spread across all of the different things that he's doing. It's no surprise that he's milking all of the stops that he can out of his Oso Palestino Tour that has already taken him across America and even countries in the Middle East and other parts of the globe. Eventually, he'll have to get back in the lab and cook up another special. If you or a friend is not too familiar with Mo Amer's brand of comedy, but you want to tag along, we can get right to the point here. Amer is able to use his incredible life experience, including some of the tough instances that he went through growing up overseas, combined with the cultural mix that is now his daily life, to come up with funny scenarios. His brand of comedy is a little more intellectual than many people give him credit for. You're not only going to laugh at the Majestic Theatre, you're going to learn something in the process. That's a good night of comedy if there ever was one!
This venue is one of the best in the entire state for a comedy show. If we're just talking about the Metroplex area, The Majestic tops all other venues when it comes to comfort and viewing experience for a stand-up comedy event like this. If you're one of those people who like to be up close and personal to the comedians, then find a seat near the stage. Truth be told, any spot toward the middle of the venue, even if it's on the upper level, can provide a great view of the show.
