Lake Street Dive are one of the most exciting bands on the live music scene as they grab the spotlight during their performances with their vintage throwback sound and cross over the genre's. They've been known to showcase unique cover versions of some of the most famous classic songs, putting their distinctive style to make it their own, as well as their originals that hone in on the retro feel.
Lake Street Dive are; Rachael Price (lead vocals), Mike "McDuck" Olson (trumpet, guitar), Bridget Kearney (upright bass), and Mike Calabrese (drums). All of the members have spoken about their passion for all of the best bits of iconic music from the era's of classic jazz to '60s soul to rock and roll and after meeting together at New England Conservatory of Music in Boston and playing concerts within their trumpet players home town, in many dive bars, Lake Street Dive was created and together they spread their wings, travelling all over North America and now worldwide to celebrate their creative approach and dedication to their band.
These guys have been making their mark on the music scene from 2004 up until today and with their online presence building throughout the years, their popularity has grown. The Massachusetts group are a rare breed of a class musicians that are so flexible, transforming incredible songs from the past. It's no wonder that music fans and critics alike, caught wind of Lake Street Dive and the rest is history.
