Juanes is among the Latin artists who rode along the boom of Latin music in North America alongside artists like Ricky Martin and Jennifer Lopez. However, unlike the other two musicians, he decided to put out all of his music in his native language, even with pressure to adjust to an English-speaking audience. Juanes' charm is in his Latin pop-oriented music, which he mixes with rock n' roll, a result of him being a hard rock and Latin pop enthusiast.
