Jonathan McReynolds launched his career in 2012. He released his debut album, Life Music, and immediately broke into the charts. Life Music entered the Billboard 200 and peaked at number 3 on the Gospel charts. The record spawned the viral hit song “No Gray,” which he later promoted with an appearance on BET’s Celebration of Gospel. Three years after his stellar debut, McReynolds released his sophomore album Life Music: Stage Two. The album peaked at number 11 on the Independent Albums chart and entered the top 50 on the Billboard 200. The album also spent two weeks at number 1 on Billboard’s Gospel chart.
In 2018, McReynolds dropped his most successful album, Make Room. The album topped the Gospel charts and won several awards, including eight Stellar Awards. The album, which spawned the number 1 radio hit “Not Lucky, I’m Loved,” and “Cycles” also earned two Grammy nominations.
The following year, McReynolds won his first Grammy Award for the single “Moving On,” The single won Best Gospel Performance/Song at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards. It bested other notable artists like Ricky Dillard, Travis Greene, and more. In 2020, he released his latest album, People, peaking at number 2 on the Gospel chart. Moreover, People was preceded by the number 1 Gospel Airplay hit, “Grace.”
