Hannah Berner is doing it large. Born in Brooklyn, she was an avid athlete, playing tennis competitively for the University of Wisconsin. The New York native started off in the public eye on Bravo's "Summer House," where she soon became a favorite owing to her funny personality, quick wit, and lovable character. While that was her introduction into the mainstream, her real passion was stand-up comedy. Prior to her TV debut, she worked as a comedy video producer, and that was where she realized her love for the art. She would direct, act, and record viral videos for the social platform Instagram, as well as write funny tweets on Twitter.
Early in 2021, Berner announced that she was moving away from the reality TV show to pursue a career in comedy. Her "House Broken" tour was an astounding success and saw the star touch upon subjects such as depression, her love life, and insecurities.
Berner is a busy woman with two podcasts, which she updates regularly. The first being "Berning in Hell," where she goes deep; rather than talking about all of their achievements, she finds out about people's insecurities, fears, and anxieties and how they go through them or even embrace them. The second one is called "Giggly Squad," where she and co-host Paige DeSorbo make fun of anything and everything, including popular culture, television, horoscopes, mental health, dating fashion trends, and so much more.
Besides her tour, Berner can be found performing stand-up in NYC, and as a matter of fact, she was honored as one of the "New Faces of Comedy" by Just For Laughs in Montreal.
Her other passions are advocating for mental health, where she helps people with the social pressures that life can bring, animal rights, and one of her favorite pastimes, napping. Other interests include, eating junk food and her pet dog.
