With a series of sold-out shows this summer, the living legend - Lyle Lovett is kicking off another round of country music history with another set of tour dates scheduled this fall. Back with his Acoustic Group, this one's gonna be a wild run of unplugged nights where his best hits will shine in its purest form. With decades of hits and tours to his name, he sure is one of the most influential figures in music of this century. No doubt.

The Cowboy Man

Since 1980, Lovett has been active in the radar with his genre-bending notes of country, alternative, americana, jazz, blues, folk, and gospel into beautiful pieces of musical art. Proudly showcasing his Texas roots and his diverse sonic influences, he's been praised for his versatility and creativity in every record he drops. With fourteen albums and 25 singles to date, his heart shines in every single track.

Lovett is best known for his 1986 single "Cowboy Man" which hit the top-10 of the Hot Country Songs chart. Though his singles haven't really climbed the charts much, all of his 1990's albums received a Gold certification from the RIAA. This goes to show that his music is able to organically reach people through his pieces that uniquely pack his signature sound. 

Over they years, he's won four Grammy Awards, including "Best Country Album" for The Road to Ensenada, "Best Country Duo/Group with Vocal" for "Blues For Dixie", "Best Pop Vocal Collaboration" for "Funny How Time Slips Away" with Al Green, and "Best Country Male Vocal" for "Lyle Lovett and His Large Band".  

In 2019, he was inducted into the Austic City Limits Hall of Fame, following his induction to the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame in 2012. 

With a rich catalog of hits that pack so much music history, it's hard to believe that he only became active in the industry in the 1980s. It sure felt like a whole lifetime of passion for these genre-bending hits. On stage, this love and passion for the art shines, and you could definitely feel it in the way he performs every single one of his creations.
