The Irish singer-songwriter emerged as a performer in 2009 but it wasn’t until 2015 that he started making major traction. Dermot Kennedy released his debut single, “An Evening I Will Not Forget,” followed by the mega hit single, “Power Over Me,” which peaked at number 5 on the Billboard AAA chart. Both singles were spawned from his self-titled debut album. In 2019, Kennedy released his follow up work Without Fear which made it to number 1 in the UK and top 20 on the Billboard 200. Last 2024, Kennedy spent the better part of the year promoting his latest effort Sonder. The album spawned “Better Days,” which reached number 18 on the Billboard AAA chart. Kennedy is praised for his “rich, reverband voice” and emotive songwring prowess – these features that are utterly amplified when he sings live.
